Site of "Watanabe Genzaemon " house

Watanabe Genzaemon was a Kyoka poet and he worked at the town office as well.

This is the site of the house where he used to live. When he composed a Kyoka poem, which is a comic/satirical tanka poem, he used a different name. His name as a Kyoka poet was “Tahata　Mochimaro.” According to old maps, he used to live in this area.
