Kinryu-ji temple In front of the temple

Kinryu-ji temple was moved to this place when Tochigi Castle was being built. There are two graves in this temple. They were both poets who composed Kyoka poems, which are comic/satirical tanka poems. One of them was a close friend of Kitagawa Utamaro. The other contributed some Kyoka poems to Utamaro’s work.
