Shinmeigu shrine

Shinmeigu shrine is located in the center of Tochigi City, a shrine that enshrines the Amaterasu Omikami. It is a shrine enshrined to protect Tochigi, also known as Ise in Tochigi. The shrine is a structure called "Shinmeizukuri" that imitates Ise Jingu, and the place name of Tochigi is said to be derived from "CHIGI" the roof of the Shinmeigu shrine.
