Manpukuji temple

It is said that Manpukuji temple was founded at the foot of Mt.Ohira in the Kamakura period, and it is a temple of Shingon sect which was moved to the present location by Hiroteru Minagawa in the Azuchi Momoyama period.There is a memorial monument of a solitary Japanese painter, Tanaka Isson, also known as "Gauguin of Japan" from Tochigi City, and three statues of red, blue and black "Sankison", the blue demon on the center is said that it was Hidarijingoro's or Jocho's work.
