Kanasaki's cherry blossoms

Kanasaki's cherry blossoms were planted in 1925 (the 14th year of the Taisho Period) in honor of the Showa Emperor's marriage.
The promenade is lined with approximately 200 Somei-yoshino cherry trees that are gorgeous when in full bloom.
If you look north from the cherry blossom-filled bank, you can also enjoy a view of snow-capped mountains and more beautiful cherry blossoms.
